INGREDIENTS
Prepared with 51g of fruit per 100g of finished product. Blackcurrant 47% (EU origin), cane sugar, pomegranate 4% (non-EU origin), natural flavoring, gelling agents (fruit pectin, calcium citrate), hibiscus flowers 0.02%.
ABOUT THE BRAND
L'Epicurien was established 1982 when Master Jam Maker Bernard Le Gulvout revived a delicatessen in Saint-Manda and named it L'Epicurien. Later, based in the fruit production region Languedoc-Roussillon, Gulvout began producing his own products in the mid-1990s. Though his production house is equipped with modern facilities, the manufacturing processes remain solidly traditional to preserve the authenticity of the flavors. L'Epicurien uses an old-world style of production, simmering their sauces and chutneys in open copper cauldrons, which brings out the full subtlety of the flavors while retaining the natural colors. All jams contain a high percentage of fruit, as much as 55 to 70%, and cane sugar to ensure outstanding quality and richness of colors and flavors.
